FTPA advised Atream and NextStage on their strategic partnership with Carac

October 16 2024

FTPA advised Atream, a management company specializing in the transformation of the hospitality industry on behalf of institutional investors and the general public, and NextStage, a pioneer in private equity in France, in strengthening their shareholder base with the entry of Carac, a mutual savings, retirement and provident fund, to create a leading investment platform.

La Carac joins Atream’s co-founders Pascal Savary and Grégory Soppelsa, as well as NextStage, to develop a dynamic and sustainable investment offer in the tourism industry, in France and Europe.

Carac’s arrival in Atream’s capital is the culmination of a nearly ten-year relationship between the mutual insurer and the management company, and is based on shared convictions and ethical values aimed at developing sustainable, high-performance savings solutions.

This new long-term capital-intensive and operational partnership between Atream, NextStage and Carac reflects a shared industrial vision around the construction, under the renewed leadership of its founders Pascal Savary and Grégory Soppelsa, of a common asset management platform based on an entrepreneurial culture, innovation and drawing on their respective know-how. It will strengthen Atream’s position at the heart of the transformation of the tourism industry (Walls, Walls & Funds, Private Equity), a promising, value-added segment.

Since its creation in 2008, Atream has distinguished itself through its specialized approach to real estate investment and private equity, in particular with major players in the tourism sector such as the Accor Group, Club Med, Mamma Shelter, Belambra and the Pierre et Vacances Center Parcs Group.

NextStage, as a long-standing partner, confirms its financial and strategic support. The management company will continue to provide its expertise in identifying and carrying out external growth operations, as well as in fund-raising.

This strategic partnership is designed to strengthen Atream’s position as a leading platform for investment in the tourism industry in France and Europe.

FTPA assisted Atream and NextStage on corporate aspects with François-Xavier Beauvisage, partner and Agathe Laporte, Sophie Jouniaux (partner) on tax aspects, and Laure Calice (partner) on social aspects.
