FTPA advised Royal Bourbon Industries in its fundraising with Smalt Capital

September 27 2023

FTPA helped Royal Bourbon Industries raise €1 million from Smalt Capital, through its regional investment fund RUNaissance.

Royal Bourbon Industries, a major player in the production and marketing of agri-food products on Reunion Island and more widely in the Indian Ocean, reaffirms its confidence in Smalt Capital to support its growth. This transaction marks the continuation of a relationship of trust between Royal Bourbon Industries and Smalt Capital, following an initial financial investment in 2013.

The recent contribution from Smalt Capital’s RUNaissance Fund, coupled with the France Relance program, will enable Royal Bourbon Industries to finance 4.5 million euros in investments. These funds are aimed at strengthening local production, thus providing better opportunities for farmers in the region.
Working with Smalt Capital for the past ten years has given Royal Bourbon Industries a considerable advantage in accelerating its development.

With a team of over 150 employees to date, Royal Bourbon Industries continues to position itself as a major employer in Réunion. This fund-raising is a crucial step for the company, testifying to its long-term vision and ongoing commitment to the island and its inhabitants.

FTPA acted for Royal Bourbon Industries with a team comprising François-Xavier Beauvisage (partner) and Julien Garanger (associate), both Corporate lawyers.
