Michael Jaffe is a senior-level Franco-American attorney specializing in Private Clients, International Estate Planning, US and French Personal Taxation and Compensation & Benefits.
He is the former Managing Partner of PwC Société d'Avocats (ex-Landwell) for France and Francophone Africa with exceptional ability to drive and execute high level strategies in highly matrixed global organizations. He was also the former Human Capital partner for PwC EMEA focusing on recruitment and retention, development and reward strategies. He has broad and deep expertise in dealing with private clients, key executives, politically exposed individuals and artists/athletes with a specific focus on France, Europe and the US. He has demonstrated experience with public figures and senior executives to implement tax, compensation and benefits, and estate planning international strategies.
Michael returned to New York in 2018 where he worked with Baker McKenzie's Wealth Management group focusing on private clients and private banks, as well as the Global Employment Services group on international share plans. In 2020, he moved to Baker McKenzie Geneva where he continued to work with international private clients, private banks, on international probates, and on the application of international sanctions.
Michael is a member of the Paris, New York and California bars. He is a graduate of the University of California (B.A. phi beta kappa, summa cum laude), Loyola School of Law (JD), and the University of Paris-Panthéon (post-graduate "doctorat en 3ème cycle"). He is the author and co-author of several articles on French and US taxation relating to individuals, and has been interviewed on tax matters on French television and radio.
