February 9 2026

FTPA Avocats has strengthened its Insurance practice with the arrival of Caroline Derache as partner, accompanied by associate Constance Plouchart. Derache will lead the firm’s Insurance department and contribute to the development of its Aviation and Transport capabilities, particularly in matters involving industrial risks and liability litigation.

With more than 18 years of experience, Caroline Derache advises clients on complex and often cross-border disputes, with particular expertise in aviation losses and product liability. She began her career at Baker McKenzie before spending more than 13 years at HMN & Partners, where she developed her practice and was appointed partner.

Caroline advises a diverse client base, including CAC 40 groups, insurance companies and French businesses operating abroad, particularly in the United States, Canada and the United Arab Emirates.

Alongside her practice, she is actively involved in professional organisations and serves on the executive committee of the French Society of Air and Space Law (SFDAS).

Her arrival forms part of FTPA’s expansion strategy to further structure and develop its Insurance and Transport offerings, working closely with the firm’s existing teams.

“I am delighted to be joining FTPA and to contribute to the development of new areas of expertise in the Insurance and Transport sectors, in support of the firm’s ambitious growth strategy,” said Caroline Derache.

Nathalie Younan, partner in Corporate M&A added “Caroline’s arrival reflects the continued developement of our firm and strengthens our ability to serve our clients. We are very pleased to welcome her.”
