FTPA advises the founders of Vinatis in the sale of their company to Groupe Castel Frères

The law firm FTPA is assisting the founders of Vinatis, the leading online wine, champagne and spirits retailer, in the exclusive negotiation of the sale of their company to the Castel Frères group, the leading wine producer in France and Europe.

Created in 2002 and a pioneer in the online sale of spirits, Vinatis is today the French and European leader in the market, with nearly 30% of its revenues coming from international sales.

This new acquisition will allow the Castel Frères Group to pursue its portfolio diversification policy and Vinatis to independently develop its international ambition, thus strengthening its position in an ultra-competitive market.

The acquisition of Vinatis is expected to be finalized in the coming months, subject to the approval of the French Competition Authority.

FTPA advised the founders of Vinatis with a team composed of François-Xavier BEAUVISAGE and Agathe LAPORTE (Corporate), Nicolas MESSAGE (Tax), Laure CALICE (Employment), Lise DAMELET, Yann DAVIE and Carole BOUTILLIER (Competition).

The founders were also advised by OAKLINS FRANCE – Arnaud DUBOIS, Romain DELION, Océane CHAINHO

The Poncet firm also advised the founders on intellectual property aspects.
