Dark stores: black hole for urbanism?

The legal framework of dark stores raises several questions: how are they considered with regard to the urban planning code; what are the procedures for changing the use of a premises; what are the particularities in Paris? Given the specificities, it would be appropriate to approach and frame the new forms of commerce according to their effects and not only their physical characteristics. A functional rather than material approach would then allow us to go beyond the classic typologies to regulate the impacts and externalities.
