This appointment is testimony to the firm&#8217;s desire to promote its in-house talent and to continue the growth dynamic of the corporate M&amp;A department, one of the firm\u2019s pillars. FTPA is delighted to welcome <strong>Romain d\u2019Innocente<\/strong> from Gide Loyrette Nouel. His arrival is in line with the firm\u2019s intention to enhance its expertise in transactional real estate and complete its offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The corporate M&amp;A team now consists of 15 lawyers, including five associates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a><strong>Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier<\/strong><\/a> holds a Master 2 (droit des affaires 214) from the <em>Universit\u00e9 Paris Dauphine<\/em> and a Master 1 in business law with a specialisation in finance from the <em>Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lille<\/em> in partnership with EHDEC Business School. He decided to come back as counsel in 2019 to continue his career, after a short stint at Kramer Levin Naftalis &amp; Frankel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier<\/strong> acts on behalf of a diverse client base, particularly in the new technology, retail and services sectors, for French and European clients. He advises on M&amp;A transactions of listed and non-listed companies and assists investment funds in their private equity matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He recently led the team that assisted the investment fund NextStage in its reinvestment in WiiSmile, alongside Eurazeo, and advised the founders of Vinatis in the disposal of their company to Groupe Castel Fr\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am proud of the trust FTPA has placed in me by co-opting me as a partner, after having started my career there. The rigour, the technicality, and the entrepreneurial approach, which are the main hallmarks of the firm\u2019s identity, were passed on to me by the partners who gave me their trust and allowed me to fulfil my ambitions as soon as I arrived. It is with great enthusiasm that I intend to contribute to the development of the corporate practice and to boost the private equity activity in particular, alongside the other members of the team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTransactional work is a demanding field, which requires increased availability for our clients and agility in the solutions we propose. As a specialist in real estate transactions, he will be a core part of our corporate M&amp;A team. His double expertise in real estate and M&amp;A is a definite asset for the growth of the firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He spent 12 years in Gide Loyrette Nouel\u2019s Corporate department in Paris and Shanghai, where he was an associate before becoming counsel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Romain<\/strong> acts on all M&amp;A transactions and has developed a specific expertise in acquisitions, disposals, asset valuations, and real estate portfolios. His area of work extends to the structuring of joint ventures and regulated (notably OPCI) and non-regulated real estate investment vehicles. He advises a variety of clients, including insurers, real estate companies, funds, and groups in the retail and luxury sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Romain<\/strong> holds a Master 2 in business law and a Master 2 in banking and finance law from the <em>Universit\u00e9 Paris I &#8211; Panth\u00e9on-Sorbonne<\/em>. He has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am very happy to join FTPA, whose ambition and values I fully share.
